Grants
"Do you live in Scotland?"
"Do you own your property?"
"Are you thinking of installing a renewable energy source?"
If you answered yes to all of the above, then here's some good news for you. The Scottish Community Householder Renewables Initiative (SCHRI ) provides grants of 30% (up to £4000) of the installed cost of each new technology.
Benefits of Renewable Energy
Not only can you contribute to the conservation of the worlds natural resources, you can save money on your bills. The initial outlay more than pays for itself in the long term.
For example with a Solar Water Heating system, you can save up to 70% on your annual spend compared to a regular water heating system.
Technologies Supported by The Grant:
Micro hydro-electric
Micro wind

Solar space heating
Automated wood fuel heating systems
(boilers and room heaters/stoves)
Heat pumps (ground, air and water source)
